Coffee lovers alert! A real treat awaits you in a bag of Mission Bleu. The coffee is purchased from a peasant-owned co-operative at Tombe Gateau in the high mountains between Port-au-Prince and Jacmel, to which it is brought from bushes growing at many elevations. Washed, fermented, and sun-dried, the orgainically grown beans (who would carry a bag of fertilizer through those mountains!) are carefully graded and blended to produce one of the world's superior coffees. The unroasted beans are purchased on each mission trip and brought back to the US, to be roasted and packed in small batches at Bongo Java in Nashville, TN. Brought to you by the Haitian Orthodox Mission, for the support of its work, each bag not only offers you (or someone for whom you care) a superior beverage, but also contributes materially to the work of the Mission. (If you prefer, it can also be supplied unroasted, for the most determined!) At $15 for a one-pound bag, it is a bargain on the premium coffee market. One or two bags can be shipped within the US by Priority Mail for a $5 s&h charge; up to 6# by the same method for a $10 s&h charge. Please inquire for costs for larger quantities or shipments abroad. Payment may be by US$ check or money order, or VISA or MasterCard. Please send your order (with credit card details) by e-mail to missionhaiti@sjkp.org, by fax to 615/536-5945, or telephone 615/536-5239 (please leave a clearly-spoken message if no one is available to take the call), or by postal service to: Haitian Orthodox Mission, 1180 Orthodox Way, Liberty TN 37095. Please make checks payable to the Mission. It simplifies our life if coffee order payments are kept separate from donations to the Mission and St. John of Kronstadt Press transactions. Bon appétit!
